Tomato Seeds - Golden Crown
Golden Crown, or goldenkrone as it's also known, is reportedly the best-tasting yellow cherry tomato available. This outstanding early variety outperforms many of the hybridised yellows producing up to 50 fruits per truss. The texture is firm, exceptionally sweet and full of flavour. Outstanding under glass but equally great in a sheltered outdoor position, this variety matures early with round yellow fruit to 30mm. Our favourite.
Tomato Seeds - Tiny Tim
A must-have dwarf bush variety which produces an abundance of small, bright red cherries very early. Growing as a bush type it is the perfect zero maintenance variety, requiring no pruning and well-suited to pot cultivation on the patio, conservatory or kitchen planter under lights where it will reach 10 to 12 inches (25 - 30cm). This superb and compact bush also sits happily in the greenhouse borders with the smaller peppers and aubergines where it will reach 18 inches (46cm).
Tomato Seeds - Black Russian
This popular heirloom variety from Russia is a great choice for the UK grower. Semi-sweet with some acidity to balance, and a slightly smoky flavour coupled with its slightly better tolerance to cooler conditions and interesting deep mahogany colour, make it an attractive, delicious and interesting choice for a near beefsteak sized tomato. One of our favourites for flavour and interest here at Grow Sow Greener.
Tomato Seeds - Tigerella
Tigerella tomatoes are excellent for colder climates. They are also stunning fruits, striped as their name suggests. They add interest and beauty that is unrivalled by their monotone cousins. Tomato Tigerella sets its dramatic fruit early, usually sized between 60 and 120 grams and has a sweet flavour and superior texture, making this a highly regarded heirloom. Easy to grow in our climate, Tigerella tomatoes will make you smile.
Biodegradable Pots
Our thin-wall Coco Coir Pots are 100% biodegradable and are designed to be planted in a prepared hole in the garden where the roots will grow freely through the wall in the direction nature intended. Seedlings also benefit from the nutrient boost and the addition of organic matter from the decomposing coir pot. No mess, no fuss, less work and most importantly no transplant shock or growth check. Unlike peat pots, our Coco Coir Pots are 100% sustainable. They are not as susceptible to mould and will resist turning into a soggy mess before planting time which are attributes of the paper pulp variety. Our products and packaging are supplied plastic-free.
Coco Coir Discs
Our Coco Discs and Coco Bricks are a mixture of a corky cellular material and short fibres. Millions of tiny natural sponges which closely resemble peat moss have been simply dried and compressed, making life easier and shipping cheaper. Add water and they expand back to their original size. Simple, transportable and an incredibly good environment for the root zone.
