Blue Oyster (Pleurotus ostreatus var. columbinus) produces striking navy-blue pins that mature to steel-grey caps. Cool-loving, high-yield and quick to colonise, it’s a favourite for colourful farmers-market displays and rich umami sautés.

Selected for deep-blue pins that hold colour, dense clusters and cold-weather tolerance. Each syringe contains vigorous mycelium in nutrient-rich broth produced under ISO-class sterile lab conditions.

Usage & Storage
Shake well, inject into sterilised grain (20 – 24 °C), incubate until colonised, then spawn to supplemented sawdust blocks. Refrigerate 2 – 6 °C; best within 2 – 3 weeks, viable up to 2 months.

Fully colonised plate—ideal for cloning, sectoring or immediate agar-to-grain transfers with visual pigment confirmation.

Usage & Storage
Transfer wedges in a SAB/flow hood to grain or fresh plates. Refrigerate 2 – 6 °C; use within 3 weeks (max 6 weeks).
Blue Oyster Grain Spawn
1.5 kg Unicorn-style bag of millet/rye colonised by Blue Oyster—built for rapid colonisation and rich-coloured flushes in cool rooms.
Usage & Storage
Break up, mix into supplemented sawdust (e.g. 50:50 hardwood sawdust + bran) at 10 – 15 % spawn. Incubate 20 – 24 °C; fruit blocks at 15 – 18 °C with high RH for best colour. Refrigerate 2 – 6 °C; best within 10 days, viable up to 4 weeks.

Perfect for outdoor log or bucket grows in spring and autumn—each dowel is vacuum-sealed for freshness.

Delivery and Packaging
All products are packaged plastic free as standard. Your garden seeds are sealed for freshness inside white glassine envelopes which are a water/vapour resistant compostable paper product whilst your Microgreen and Sprouting Seeds arrive in resealable zip lock pouches made from GMO free vegetable starch which are further heat sealed to ensure these great products reach you safely!

We're sorry about that and understand your frustration! We would love to offer you a refund or a replacement. Please contact us at hi@growsowgreener.co.uk within 30 days of purchase for a full refund or replacement.
I ordered the wrong product or simply changed my mind.
No worries, we will refund you the full amount (minus the shipping charges) provided the items are returned in new condition and in original packaging. Once received we will issue your refund however you will be responsible for return shipping costs for non defective products.
