Grow meaty, flavour-packed King Oyster mushrooms at home. This fully colonised 2.5 kg block is certified organic by Organic Farmers & Growers (OF&G) and arrives ready to fruit. With their thick, succulent stems and savoury umami bite, King Oysters are a versatile gourmet variety perfect for stir-fries, grilling or roasting.

Quick start
- Open the bag with a small slit or “X” about 5 cm long.
- Place somewhere bright (out of direct sun) with gentle airflow.
- Mist lightly once or twice a day so the surface doesn’t dry out.
Typical timeline: pins often appear in 7–14 days after setup; harvest usually follows a week later depending on conditions.

Fruiting conditions
- Temperature: best between 12–18 °C; cooler rooms help form thick stems.
- Humidity: keep high (~90–95%) for pinning, then reduce to ~85–88% once mushrooms develop.
- Fresh air: good airflow is key; long stems with tiny caps mean more air exchange is needed.
- Light: a bright room or indirect light (~12 hrs/day) is enough; no grow lamp required.
King Oysters thrive on consistency — steady temperature and humidity bring the best results.
Harvest & yield
Pick when caps are firm and gently flaring but before edges curl upwards. With good care, expect 2–3 flushes per block.
Storage
If you’re not fruiting immediately, keep the unopened block refrigerated and aim to begin within 1–2 weeks of delivery. Bring back to room temperature before opening.

Delivery and Packaging
All products are packaged plastic free as standard. Your garden seeds are sealed for freshness inside white glassine envelopes which are a water/vapour resistant compostable paper product whilst your Microgreen and Sprouting Seeds arrive in resealable zip lock pouches made from GMO free vegetable starch which are further heat sealed to ensure these great products reach you safely!

My product is damaged defective or you shipped me the wrong product.
We're sorry about that and understand your frustration! We would love to offer you a refund or a replacement. Please contact us at hi@growsowgreener.co.uk within 30 days of purchase for a full refund or replacement.
I ordered the wrong product or simply changed my mind.
No worries, we will refund you the full amount (minus the shipping charges) provided the items are returned in new condition and in original packaging. Once received we will issue your refund however you will be responsible for return shipping costs for non defective products.
