Shiitake Liquid Culture – 10 ml Syringe

Selected for rapid colonisation, uniform block browning and thick, crackled caps. Each syringe contains vigorous mycelium in nutrient-rich broth produced under ISO-class sterile conditions.

Usage & Storage
Shake well, inject into sterilised grain (22–24 °C), incubate ~14 days, then spawn to supplemented sawdust (e.g., 80 % hardwood sawdust / 20 % wheat bran). Refrigerate 2–6 °C; best within 2–3 weeks, viable up to 2 months.
Shiitake Plate Culture – 90 mm PDA Agar
Fully colonised plate—ideal for cloning, strain isolation or agar-to-grain transfers; velvet-white mycelium displays strong rhizomorphs.

Usage & Storage
Transfer wedges in a SAB/flow-hood to grain or fresh plates. Refrigerate 2–6 °C; use within 3 weeks (max 6 weeks).
Shiitake Grain Spawn
1.5 kg of fully colonised UK grain spawn in a genuine Unicorn bag—engineered for steady colonisation and hefty, crack-cap flushes.
Usage & Storage
Break up gently, mix into supplemented sawdust at 10–15 % spawn. Incubate 22–24 °C for 30–35 days until full white; allow a 2-week browning phase at 18–20 °C; cold-shock at 4 °C for 24 h, then fruit at 14–18 °C with 90 %+ RH.
Refrigerate 2–6 °C if delaying use; best within 10 days, viable up to 4 weeks.
Shiitake Plug / Dowel Spawn – Hardwood Dowels (8 × 35 mm Schima superba)
Ideal for oak, beech or sweet-chestnut logs; fruits for 3–7 years under minimal maintenance—each dowel is vacuum-sealed for freshness.

- Drill 8 mm holes to the correct depth with our mushroom drill bit.

Delivery and Packaging
All products are packaged plastic free as standard. Your garden seeds are sealed for freshness inside white glassine envelopes which are a water/vapour resistant compostable paper product whilst your Microgreen and Sprouting Seeds arrive in resealable zip lock pouches made from GMO free vegetable starch which are further heat sealed to ensure these great products reach you safely!

We're sorry about that and understand your frustration! We would love to offer you a refund or a replacement. Please contact us at hi@growsowgreener.co.uk within 30 days of purchase for a full refund or replacement.
I ordered the wrong product or simply changed my mind.
No worries, we will refund you the full amount (minus the shipping charges) provided the items are returned in new condition and in original packaging. Once received we will issue your refund however you will be responsible for return shipping costs for non defective products.
